Multipurpose computers stations

There are two PC and two Mac computer stations available for drop-in use by faculty.

“Podcasting” station

This station is in fact a Mac and a PC computer in a small, quiet room that can hold up to four. The computer is set up with recording equipment that make this an ideal place to capture audio lectures, interviews and more for your class. The space also has a white board with room for a video camera allowing you to create new video content as well.

Small group station

This station is outfitted with Mac and PC computers connected to a 42″ display surrounded by couches. The space easily hold seven and is available for meetings and presentations that involve small groups of faculty.

Equipment for check-out

A variety of special-purpose equipment is available for checkout from the Faculty Development Center. To inquiry about checking one of these items out, please use the contact information in the blue box on this page. General purpose media equipment is available to all faculty through Webster University’s Media Center.

Color Printing

The computer stations in the Faculty Development Center suite are connected to allow faculty to print copies of course-related items. We ask that faculty limit their use to a single copy for their purposes, and to use their department’s photocopier or Mail and Copy Solutions located Loretto Hall to print items in large quantities (such as course handouts).

Wireless Internet

For those that wish to use the FDC with their own laptop, wireless internet is available throughout. Click here to learn more about using Webster University’s wireless network.
