Announcing the Year of International Human Rights 2009-10: The Right to Food and Water
The College of Arts & Sciences is dedicating the 2009-10 academic year to human rights issues associated with food and water. Visit the YIHR website to learn more about this special year and to stay abreast of upcoming events and activities.

For more information on international human rights, see the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The declaration’s Article 25.1 states that “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services…”

Dr. Johannes Pollack Joins Vienna Faculty
Arts & Sciences welcomes Dr. Johannes Pollack, who has joined the Vienna campus as a senior research professor. Previously, Pollack was a senior research fellow at the Institute for European Integration Research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
